Building LED Sound Control Melody Lamp Electronic VC best DIY Kits Suite

I bought the LED Sound Control Melody Lamp Electronic VC best DIY Kits Suite from eBay.
The kit contains the following components:

1. 9014 transistor (2)
2. Electret Microphone
3. 10kohm resistor
4. 1Mohm resistor
5. 4.7Kohm resistor
6. LEDs (5)
7. 1uF, 50V electrolytic capacitor
8. 47uF, 25V electrolytic capacitor

The circuit diagram is given below:

Note that instead of using the 9014 transistor, a BC547 transistor can be used. In this case, the pin out of 9014 and 8050 differs from that of BC547 which is shown below:
